24. YOKOHAMA CHINATOWN

24.YOKOHAMA CHINATOWN

"Yokohama China Town" is one of the largest Chinatowns in the world.
It is a tourist place where you can enjoy the feeling of traveling to China while in Japan, filled with Chinese restaurants, fortune telling shops, Chinese tea and Chinese dress shops, etc. After a meal at an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant or a high-class restaurant where you can enjoy a full-course meal, we also recommend trying pork buns, dumplings, peach buns, Tianjin sweet chestnuts and bubble tea “tapioca” drinks that were popular in 2019.
When visiting "Yokohama China Town", don’t forget to visit "Yokohama Kanteibyo Temple" dedicated to famous Chinese general, Kanwu, and "Yokohama Masobyo Temple" dedicated to Chinese sea goddess, Mazu. Once inside the lavishly decorated temples, they will seem even more extraordinary than when you only walk the streets of Chinatown.

25. Zou-no-Hana Park

25.Zou-no-Hana Park

"Zou-no-hana Park" is a park with a great sense of openness on the way from Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse to Yamashita Park.
This is exactly where the port of Yokohama opened, and of the two piers built at the time, the eastern side pier was extended in the shape of a bow. It came to be called "elephant nose" because it looked similar when viewed from above.
The park is divided into several areas, but the "Kaiko Hills" is recommended for a walk break. It feels great to sit or lie down on the grass and relax. In "Kaiko Hills", there is a rest house "Zou-no-hana Terrace" that has an art space, and inside there is a large monument of the symbolic elephant. The recommended menu at the cafe is "Zou-no-hana Ice Cream", creamy and shaped like an elephant's face.
"Zou-no-hana Park" is a relaxing place during the day, but it quickly turns into a romantic spot at night. You can enjoy a beautiful 360-degree panoramic night view, so we recommended visiting it after sunset.

26.Kishamichi

"Kishamichi" is a promenade that crosses the sea, connecting Sakuragicho Station with the Shinko area, where Yokohama World Porters and Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse are located.
A place with a special atmosphere since they use the abandoned rails of the freight line "Rinko Line" that was inaugurated in 1911 and connected the old-Yokohama station (currently Sakuragicho Station) and the Shinko Pier. The rails embedded in the path and bridge take you back to times of yore. It is also popular as a walking course and a photo spot because from here you can see the skyscrapers of the Minatomirai area and the large Ferris wheel "Cosmo Clock 21" of Minatomirai’s symbolic "Yokohama Cosmo World". We invite you to come take a picture of the night view of Minatomirai area from "Kishamichi", or take a picture of the "Kishamichi" bridge and the skyscrapers in the background together in one frame.
The best season in "Kishamichi" is spring, as along the "Kishamichi" and the "Unga Park" along the road are lined with cherry blossom trees, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing. If you visit when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, be sure to look in the direction of "Yokohama Landmark Tower" from the front of the "Navios Yokohama Hotel", which features a large atrium. You will see the beautiful view of the cherry blossoms in full bloom and, in the background, the skyscrapers in Minatomirai area that rise above them.
