Yokohama Chinatown “Chinese New Year Lanterns 2025”

The Lantern event, that celebrates the “Spring Festival” better known as the Chinese New Year, has as its theme for this year the Chinese saying "NenNen-Yuyo: for a prosperous life" and is represented by a magnificent display of lights in red colors. 150 paper lanterns give form to the main attraction, a great dragon that rises in the Chinatown Main Street, and another small and cute dragon also dances on the night sky of Kanteibyo Street. What’s more, in each street red paper lanterns and other kind of lighting typical of the Spring Festival shine too, giving the urban landscape of Yokohama Chinatown a tone even brighter than the usual.
