CURRY&MUSIC JAPAN 2023

The CURRY&MUSIC JAPAN 2023 Executive Committee is hosting "CURRY&MUSIC JAPAN 2023" at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza from July 14th (Friday) to July 17th (Monday, public holiday).

The event offers a new style where a variety of curries and diverse genres of music can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere. The curry sales area and live venue are integrated into one space, allowing visitors to purchase their favorite curry and indulge in exciting live performances on stage. The lineup of curry vendors includes popular curry shops loved by curry enthusiasts, as well as collaboration curries with artists, along with the sale of retort pouch curries. The live acts will feature musicians and artists who have a deep love for curry or are trending on social media. There are also plans for talk shows where artists will share their passion for curry.

※There are various theories regarding the origin of curry's introduction to Japan, one of which suggests that it was brought by foreigners residing in the settlement established after the opening of Yokohama on June 2, 1859. The combination of rice with curry, a way of eating that became popular in Japan, has its roots in the history that developed from Yokohama.
