Yokohama’s shrine of comedy, the Nigiwai-za, is an entertainment theater that keeps Yokohama’s popular entertainment tradition alive. From the 1st to the 15th of every month, a wide variety of different daily performances are held in the immersive vaudeville Performance Hall (Grand Hall) that include upcoming young acts as well as established masters, solo rakugo as well as manzai, and entertainers and magicians. From the 16th to the end of the month, the hall is available as rental space.
