Yokohama Sparkling Twilight 2019

Yokohama Sparkling Twilight, which has become a summer tradition in the port city of Yokohama, will be held over two days at Yamashita Park and offshore of the Park!

The Sparkling Fireworks show is being held over two days; the combination of music and fireworks provides a superb climax to the Yokohama Sparkling Twilight event. Yokohama Sparking Twilight also incorporates a number of other special activities, including the Sparkling Parade, a parade of mikoshi portable shrines from every district in Yokohama (including Yokohama’s Chinatown district). There is also a “Seaside Restaurant,” featuring food from some of Yokohama’s oldest and best-known restaurants, in Yamashita Park.

1. Sparkling Fireworks
3,000 fireworks light up the summer sky for two nights!

2. Ship Parade
A parade of ships off the shore of Yamashita Park.

3. Marine Rescue Demonstration
Demonstration by Yokohama Guard and Yokohama City Fire Department.

4. Twilight Jewelry Boat
Ships decorated with lights will illuminate the port of Yokohama.

5. Sparkling Parade
A parade of mikoshi portable shrines from every district in Yokohama.

6. Sparkling Stage Live
Various concerts and live performances will be held at Yamashita Park.
