Grand Sumo Spring Regional Tour at Yokohama Arena

The Grand Sumo Spring Regional Tour is coming to Yokohama Arena this April!
Jungyo, or Regional Tours, are special sumo tournaments held outside Japan’s four main sumo tournament cities. They were created to bring sumo to more people, especially those who may not have the chance to attend a Grand Tournament. This makes them a great opportunity for first-time spectators or those who prefer a more relaxed setting to enjoy Japan’s national sport. Unlike the grand tournaments, jungyo also feature cultural performances such as a hairdressing demonstration, sumo jinku(sumo traditional songs） and even a comedy performance.

The tournament will be held on Saturday April 26th at Yokohama Arena.
