Yamate Bluff

For about 30 years after the opening of the port, Yamate Bluff had been a foreign settlement, now lined with many exotic Western-style houses and buildings.

It is very valuable as a historical legacy of the period when Western culture flooded into the fishing village.

It is also nice to take a break at one of the cafes along the street walking down to Harbor View Park, Yokohama Foreign General Cemetery, Western-style houses and buildings here and there. For travel designers, the proximity to Motomachi shopping district down the hill will be of great advantage in planning 2-hours walking course for the day of arrival or departure of your clients.
