Noge Shopping Avenue

Noge Shopping Avenue is spread landward from the JR Sakuragicho Station. The streets are lined with shops including "Izakaya," a casual Japanese style pubs, restaurants, taverns and karaoke. Most of the shops are reasonably priced and casually enjoyable. In the twilight the shops are illuminated with neon lights and hanging red lanterns.

Noge is also famous for the "Noge Daido-gei (Noge Street Performance)" held every spring and autumn. It is a very popular event where performers show juggling and pantomime on the street. Many time-honored and renowned restaurants and specialty shops exist in this area.
