There are stairs from the ground level to the main entranceway/entrance, but the elevator is accessible via a ramp next to the stairs. There is a nursing room on the 1st floor and ostomate-friendly "front wide toilet seats" in the 1st floor men's and women's restrooms.

Discount system based on disability and age (65 and over, etc.) Disabled persons may visit both the permanent and special exhibitions free of charge with up to two caregivers upon presentation of valid disability certificate. The fee for the permanent exhibition is 300 yen for those 20 and older, 100 yen for high school students and those 65 and older and 200 yen for students or those under 20. It is free for junior high school students and under. Special exhibitions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
