Rinka-en Historical House
Food and Restaurants
Rinka-en, situated just outside the famous, lovely Sankei-en Gardens in Yokohama's Honmoku district is lovely in its own right. Housed in a 600-year-old home that was moved to its present location from the Izu Peninsula in 1930, the traditional setting creates a very enjoyable atmosphere.
Dining at Rinka-en is a very special experience. The course menu is recommended and the kaiseki dishes are brought out one-by-one. Each dish is presented beautifully and is as nice to look at as it is to eat. Prices start at around 4000 yen for lunch, and 10,000 yen for dinner. Reservations are a must, and a private room will cost 5,000-10,000 extra.
