YOKOHAMA ARCHIVES OF HISTORY

The Tamakusu tree still grows strongly in the bustling metropolis where Japan-U.S. Treaty of Peace and Amity was signed. Located in the courtyard of YOKOHAMA ARCHIVES OF HISTORY, the Tamakusu tree has been well known as it is depicted in the Ukiyo-e print of Commodore Perry’s landing. As a travel designer, how about signing a contract experience under this Tamakusu tree in the shape of the Treaty? For foreign travelers visiting Japan, you had better negotiate a special experience as well where curators of this museum will give you an exclusive guide after the museum is closed. Depending on timing, you may be able to negotiate a dinner plan in the former Consul General’s office, or make NFT art of Ukiyo-e prints owned by the museum.
