Restaurant arabe Al Ain

Delicious homemade Arabic cuisine

Al Ain is a little gem hidden on the basement floor just minutes' walk from Isesaki-Chojamachi station. With the pleasant scent of flavored water pipes and beautiful tapestries on the wall, it feels as though you're a taking a little trip to Arabia. The delicious Middle Eastern dishes are made by the cheerful chef owner from Beirut, Lebanon, who has worked at the Kuwait Embassy in Tokyo before establishing his own business here. The set of three homemade entrées (hummus, labne and mutabal) is served with homemade pita bread and is perfect to start dinner with. His musaka is also worth a try: it is served on a sizzling iron plate and topped with a generous amount of savory tomato sauce. Make sure to visit the restaurant when you have the time, as the menu is quite extensive and filled with dishes too charming to pass. Note: On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant puts on a belly dancing show.
